Minh Trinh

Lead Mentor

Mr. Minh Trinh graduated from the Prep in 2006 and went on to receive his bachelors degree in physics and masters in physics education from Rutgers University. In 2010 he joined the faculty as a science teacher and currently teaches physical science, general physics, and AP Physics C. In 2015 Mr. Trinh helped found FRC team 5992 Pirates as an assistant mentor, becoming lead mentor the following season. Outside of robotics, Mr. Trinh is an avid martial artist and assistant coach to the school's varsity rifle team.


Wayne Vargas

Assistant Mentor

Mr. Wayne Vargas graduated from Technology High School in 2014, and is currently a senior at the New Jersey Institute of Technology where he is majoring in electrical engineering and computer engineering tech. He has been an advisor of FRC team 714 based at Technology High School since he graduated, and was a coach in First Lego League in Orange Public Schools for 2 years. In 2016 he joined the team as an advisor in the field of mechanical engineering. Since then he has continuously improved and guided the Robotics team at Seton Hall Prep. Some of these achievements include earning 1st place in the 2018 Montgomery Event, and finishing as a finalist in the 2019 Mount Olive Event. He is enthusiastic about promoting FIRST and STEM everywhere in the local community.


David Brunkhorst

Assistant Mentor

Mr. Brunkhorst went to school at William Paterson university to study Biology and Secondary Education. After a successful college career, he went to go work at the Liberty Science Center to work in informal education for 2 years. There, He worked with hands on science lessons and presentations for a variety of audiences. Working in the makerspace was a highlight of the career at the hands-on science museum. New to the prep in 2019, He teaches Physical Science and Chemistry.


Elizabeth Rogacki

Assitant Mentor

Mrs. Rogacki graduated from Lafayette College with a BS in Mechanical Engineering, Caldwell College with a BA in Social Studies, and from Montclair State University with an MS in Computer Science (Information Technology). She joined the faculty of Mount Saint Dominic in 2005. She currently teaches AP Physics 1 and Robotics. Her 3 children are alumni and alumna of Seton Hall Prep and Mount Saint Dominic Academy before all attending the United States Military Academy. She is enthusiastic about promoting women in STEM and very pleased to integrate the young women of MSDA into FRC team 5992. Outside of school, Mrs. Rogacki is very involved with Scouting as a leader in both Troop 6 Caldwell and Venture Crew 59.
